Falkensteiner Hotel Schladming

Just a few highlights from my point of view as an attendee of a company sponsored weekend here. The staff is super nice, but I didn’t really need them, I just used the check-in and the restaurant. Kitchen is OK as much as I could tell but I was not very hungry either and had just the menu items and the salad from the bar. Food quality is sufficient but not superb. I have found that if you are seated far from the buffet, at the larger tables, you must walk quite a bit and must get around tables etc which needs attention when there’s a crowd. Rooms are sufficient and clean, but it’s one space with virtually no acoustic privacy, glass doors. Furniture and lights are somewhat clumsy. What’s really annoying though is having to watch for neighbor’s smoke getting in through the balcony, smokers right outside the entrance and the city facing side of the hotel sometimes getting a bit noisy. - these take one star off. One elevator of the two was off this weekend which can be a blocker, I was fine using the stairs. I do understand that it’s 2022 when some things are not so easy to maintain anymore. I didn’t use any of the wellness features because I had enough outdoor programs for this short time.

The stay at the luxurious hotel of Falkensteiner chain in Schladming was so great that it can’t be described in small amount of words. My girlfriend and me stayed ar this hotel for 5 nights. The room is so cozy that you could sleep all day and not feel sorry about it. The bed is incredible. Food. Breakfast is magnificent and fresh (chef is preparing eggs in front of you) and I swear, some of the weight is gained in the morning. We also had a special dinner in 6 courses every evening and I couldn’t get enough of it. The staff is so delightful and fast that I gained weight there as well. The reason why we got here, is because of the wellness part. The saunas are new and hot. It was a little weird when we realized that whole sauna area is nude area but we quickly accepted it and we enjoyed every minute of it. 5 stars for wellness as well. In the end, the staff. Always helpful, always smiling making you part of the big hotel family that are staying under the same roof in this short time of staying. Special thanks to the barmen, the drinks he makes are perfect as well!! Kudos to Falkensteiner for this jewel of a hotel!
